Market Bag

I mentioned on here before that I'm learning to sew and I'm proud to report that I have successfully completed my first tutorial on how to sew following this blog: http://raechelmyers.com/sewing-101/

My mom told me that if I can make this bag, I can pretty much sew anything now. I'm so happy with the way it turned out! I did mess up but I don't mind learning form my mistakes :) There should only be one pocket on the outside, but mine has two! It's a reversible bag that should have one pocket on the inside and one on the outside, but o-well, I'll know for the next one, but to be honest I kind of like to two pockets on the outside!!

Update

We are doing great! Magdalene is still just the cutest and sweetest baby. She is growing so fast and already fitting into some 9 month clothes! She has started to grab things a lot and will push my cup when I'm trying to take a drink now. She loves being outside and this particular morning, it was so nice, I decided that swinging outside would be nice :)

I've started learning how to sew by following an online tutorial and I have learned so much! My mom bought me a sewing machine, patterns, and material )and a whole bunch of other sewing stuff) to get me started. My first project I decided to try was this hat. It turned out great! I may add a bow and string to tie it under her chin, but we'll see. My next project is a bag!

This picture was so cute I just had to post it.

While my mom and sister Ruthie were visiting, we put on Ruthie's sunglasses and the hat I made and she looked pretty darn cute :) She actually kept them on for a little bit.

This is the doll I knitted for her 1st birthday. I know it's a little early, but once I started, I just wanted to finish it :) It turned out so good, I was a little proud of myself. A friend of mine thinks it would be cute to make Maggie a matching dress, but we'll see. I'm kind of tired of knitting for now and think I'll focus on sewing for the next few months.

We took this video and downloaded a cool app on my Iphone that converts the video to look like an old 20's video and put it to music.

 

4 Months and a Baseball Game

Maggie is getting so silly now when I take her picture :) I took these when she woke from her nap and there were just so many good ones. When Travis got home to look at them he told me that he was glad I didn't take anymore since choosing just one is hard with so many cute ones!

We went to an Aggie Baseball game with some friends and Maggie did great! She only got fussy once because of a dirty diaper. She fell asleep for about 30 mins at one time and the the train passing by woke her up :) Everyone around us kept looking at her and we got many complements on how beautiful she is :)

Easter and other Pics

We weren't able to get a nice family shot of us at the alter after Mass since little Maggie was sleeping and people were arriving for the Mass after us. So, this was our attempt to get one at home in the front yard with me holding the camera :) We were trying to make Maggie smile so in every family pic, one of our mouths were open! This one was the best.

We took her to the park in our neighborhood for the first time and she LOVED the swing. We have a really cute video that I will post. It's on Travis' phone still.

Here she is in her A&M gear :) So cute....future class of 2033 or something like that.

We sent this to a former co-worker of mine. Her smile is just contagious!!

This day last year.......

I took a pregnancy test and found out we were pregnant with our little Maggie :)

Bluebonnet Pictures!

We went with some friends to take some pictures in the beautiful bluebonnets yesterday. These were the best two :)

Roll Over, Roll Over.....

Maggie rolled over today!! She was on her tummy and rolled over her right side to her back! I didn't get it on film because I didn't think she was going to and my phone was not right beside me. Travis was home but in the garage :( I yelled for him to come, trying not to scare him into thinking something was wrong, but it was too late!
