Two "Firsts" Today

We took Magdalene to the zoo in Waco today! This was our first road trip since she's been born. We did not want to travel during her first year and we made it to 11months to the day :) We had a great time. We left around nap time so she could nap in the car. She had a little bit of a hard time falling asleep but she slept for 30 mins, and may have slept longer if we didn't have to stop at a red light and a passing car had not honked their horn :/ But we were close anyway and she was great the whole time at the zoo! Since she enjoys both the outdoors and animals, she really had a good time. She fell asleep on the way home pretty fast after we hit the road but only for about 30mins again but that's ok, she was out by 7 this evening. We are traveling for Thanksgiving and Christmas, so this was a great trip to test the whole traveling thing with a baby. It was so nice to spend the day as a family of three on our little trip! I can't wait to do more :)
